Life Church Update

Good evening Lifers,

I’m a little early on this week’s email because I wanted to touch on a few things sooner in the week.

Tomorrow’s Red Cross Training, Wed., Mar. 31st from 6-9PM at the Wayne Township Fire Headquarters building at 700 N. High School Rd.  This class, Mass Casualty Care, will cover how we respond to disasters affecting large groups of people. Anyone can attend this class, there is no cost.

This Sunday is Easter. We will have two services at Indy West at 9 and 11AM and 1 service at Plainfield at 10AM.  Please make note of times.  We will be launching a new teaching series called “Storms” in which we will examine how to effectively survive and even thrive in the midst of the storms of life.

I encourage you to join us in reading through the scriptures of the Passion Week.  We just had some discussion and prayer on some of the insights people in our group gained as they read.  If you haven’t done it thus far just start tomorrow with the readings below.  By reading the passages each day you will be able to follow along with the events leading up to Easter and Jesus resurrection.

  • Wednesday: Matt 22:41-26:16, Mark 12:35-14:11, Luke 20:41-22:6, John 12:2-8
  • Thursday: Matt 26:17-46, Mark 14:12-42, Luke 22:7-46, John 13:1-18:1
  • Friday: Matt 26:47-27:61, Mark 14:43-15:47, Luke 22:47-23:56,   John 18:2-19:42
  • Saturday: Matt 27:62-66,  Mark 16:1, Luke 23:56
  • Sunday: Matt 18:1-15,  Mark 16:2-14,  Luke 24:1-43,  John 20:1-25
  • Don’t forget our new service times starting the week after Easter, on April 11th.  We will have one service at Indy West at 9:30AM and one service at Plainfield at 11:00AM.  We are thinking some who normally attend Indy West will choose the later service at Plainfield and it will allow to do just services for the summer.

On April 11th we will have two guests with us.  Pat Bradley will give a brief update on ICA’s work in Ethiopia, Haiti, and other parts of the world.  Also joining us will be Steve and Terry Stopanovich.  Terry works with ICA and you may remember Steve as a former player for the Pacers.

Have an awesome week as you enter the life changing story of Christ’s victory for YOU!
